The Current state of women-affairs globally

The cruelty and violence against women, especially in recent years, keep increasing despite the vast numbers of activist groups and various social awareness campaigns. It is a very strange tendency because, logically, it should be the opposite – the more social awareness campaigns are launched, the fewer violence women should experience. But in reality, we see the opposite. The more justice feminists demand, the fewer justice women face. So what is happening? Is it, simply, bad luck to be born a female?

If we want to resolve any problem that occurs in life, first of all, we must find out what caused that problem in the first place. In our case, we must ask ourselves several important questions: 'What causes cruelty and violence against women in culture?' What causes some men to hurt women? What causes some women to hurt other women? And what causes some women to hurt themselves?'

Getting at the bottom of the problem

Absolutely everything that happens in and around us including our personal life, the situation in the country and the world, and even the universe at large, operates according to laws. The entire worldcreation* is built on laws, where the private laws are interconnected with the global ones and are always subject to their goals. What seems to us to be lawlessness turns out to be the operation of other laws that we do not know about. Some laws create, some preserve, some destroy. And, in order to understand what is going on in our lives, we need to know them all. In our case, we must look at the specific law that governs human behaviour – the 'Law of cause-and-effect'.

Cause-and-Effect-Scheme

The main purpose of this law is to ensure that humans, like small cells of the bigger Cosmo-organism,
follow the necessary requirements as species to maintain the normal functioning of the global society and the planet.

'Cause and Effect' of the cruel and violent culture

The cruel and violent society is the result of the cruel and violent behaviour of people; the cruel and violent behaviour of people is caused by predatorial values they hold in their hearts and minds, which breach the laws of human morality. Although, it is true that moral values change over time, yet some personal and social behavioural requirements, must remain in place to ensure harmonious co-existence among all people. Now, let us look at what caused the moral degradation of human society. We will not go into reviewing an entire cycle of 2000-years, so-celled the Age of darkness – 'Kali Yuga', there is a countless number of scholars who have done this already, instead we will review the most recent events that occurred over the last century in the Western World, in particular, because the femicide,
homicide and rape culture are the most prominent there.

1. Intellectual foundation

The new theory of biological evolution developed by the English naturalist Charles Darwin and others in 1859, stated that all species of organisms arise and develop through the natural selection of small, inherited variations that increase the individual's ability to compete, survive, and reproduce. Darwin's theory promoted scientific naturalism over theology through the set of newly-defined tenets of evolution.

This theory gradually transformed into the 'Social Evolution' theory which started to apply the principles of natural selection in the society. It promoted anti-theologic and anti-philanthropic political agenda, and introduced to society the voluntary corrective measures of the 'inferior strains' of people via eugenics program, based on which various birth-control, family planning and relations-education sub-programs have emerged.

2. Spiritual foundation

Due to the fact, that humans are spiritual beings, to change human behaviour, it is necessary to change people's belief system fist. Therefore, back in the 1900s, the new religious movement Thelema (from Greek θέλημα – meaning 'will or wish') has emerged. It was founded on 'Do what thou wilt' philosophy and was introduced to the public by English writer Aleister Crowley (1875 – 1947). This spiritual ideology encompassed the following key moral and behavioural principles:

  • 'There is no God but man.' Meaning, the concept of God is man-made, therefore every human has the right to call oneself god/goddess.
  • 'Every man and every woman is a star.' Meaning, everyone is an independent person who has the right to do what they 'will' without connection and undue conflict with others.
  • 'Love is the ultimate law, while love is under personal will.' Meaning, everyone has the right to define the concept and meaning of 'love' as they please.

Thelema religion, like any other spiritual doctrine, has laid these laws and the social behaviour-shaping principles in its 'Holy Book of Law' called Liber-Al vel Legis, which places its focus on individual sexual predilections, that set a person free to go his/her own way of rejoining. While the traditional religions try to suppress any sex-related subjects by promoting abstinence and self-control, and by assigning the leading role to men to promote the Divine teaching, the Thelema religion, in turn, does the opposite: it puts a woman at the centre of its ideology, calls the marriage institute an 'imprisonment for women' and encourages girls and women to combat all moral stereotypes and the established patriarchal social order, so they can become free to embrace their natural sexuality and sexual liberty, and unleash their true female identity.

3. Social transformation

Both newly formed scientific and religious contemplations have laid the foundation for ego-centric, instinct-driven and purely materialistic value system, which received a great resonance among young women, in particular, because both ideologies gave them the rational and spiritual freedom to disrupt all social and religious taboos and begin to shape their moral values according to their own will.

4. Feminine transformation

As a result of the change of value system among women, in the 19th and early 20th century, the first wave of feminism has emerged across the Western World, in order to overturn the legal obstacles between men and women in society, related to the voting and property-owning rights.

The second wave of feminism began in the United States in the early 1960s. It lasted for two decades and fought for freedom to express one's sexuality in family and at the workplace, and legalisation of abortions. It strongly criticised the patriarchal social order and cultural practices, brought attention to the issues of domestic violence, marital rape, engendered rape-crisis centres, women's shelters, children's custody and divorce law. One of the most famous feminists of that time was Margaret Higgins Sanger – an American eugenicist, birth control activist and sex educator. M.H.Sanger popularised the term 'birth control', opened the first abortion clinic in the United States, and established organisations that evolved into the Planned Parenthood Federation of America. She wrote two series of books on sex education titled 'What Every Mother Should Know' and 'What Every Girl Should Know', in 1916.

In around the 1990s, the third wave of feminism has emerged, promoting intersectionality, cultural sex-positivity, transfeminism (trans-women feminism) and postmodern feminism, which aimed at entirely eradicating the patriarchal norms in society by rejecting essentialism, philosophy, and universal truths in favour of embracing the different aspects of the definition of a woman's identity and sexual freedoms in modern culture. The postmodern feminists argue against the gender-defining physical differences and demand social justice by advocating for a deconstruction of the common language, which must exclude the gender-specific nouns such as 'wife and husband', 'mother and father', 'daughter and son', 'sister and brother', 'niece and nephew' etc. in order to establish the gender equality in a progressive society.

The fourth wave of feminism has formed around 2012 and focused primarily on combating the side effect of the sex-culture, also known as the 'rape culture'.

5. Child status transformation

As the woman's identity continued to deform and self-indulging culture – to evolve, the Western World has begun to experience until then unknown social abnormalities: low quality of industrial production of goods and services, corruption at all spheres of life and, most importantly, the child's status and identity disintegration.

The born and unborn children became subject to dehumanisation programs so that more extreme abortion laws and sexual practices for children and with children could be normalised. The educational materials in kindergartens and curriculums in schools began teaching children to demonstrate tolerance and advocacy for diverse sexual practices, fornication, and various forms of sodomy.

This resulted in the sky-rocking numbers of mental disorders among children, the children being missing, the child-sex-trafficking, the child-trafficking for organs harvesting, and the formation of the paedophile-rings across the different countries.

Conclusion

It would be wrong to say, that only the newly founded theory of evolution, religion and women emancipation movement turned the civilised world into the barbaric one. Many factors lead to social degradation, but, in our case, we can identify the fundamental principles that contribute to the creation of a cruel and violent society:

  1. The science that rejects the Divine presence results in a corrupt educational system and meaningless life experience;
  2. The ideology that promotes self-indulgence and ego-centric attitude results in a vice and anarchy-based value system among people;
  3. And, finally, the women – the bearers of the humankind, who begin to sell their bodies on cameras and on the streets; who justify the murder of the children; who promote sexual abuse of children and their mental disorientation about the natural gender identity; and who demand the eradication of masculinity and man's social status entirely.

These social order indicators lead to the dead-end of not only the Western culture but any civilised society in the world. Self-distraction in the form of the toxic relationship, toxic substance abuse, feticide, infanticide, femicide, homicide and suicide are the outcomes of the freedom exercised by both men and women without any responsibility and accountability for their actions.

Solution

Freedom without a strong moral foundation creates lawlessness, chaos and suffering. People's actions in life situations are always based on their level of morality. The lower is one's moral values, the more cruel and vicious his/her actions will be, and vice-versa, the higher the level of morality one upholds, the more humane and civilised one's behaviour will be. Therefore, to eliminate cruelty and violence from modern culture, we must begin to raise the level of morality in each individual globally. And in order to do that, we must learn what is right and what is wrong behaviour in relation to the present times and not dive into the radical extremes: when nothing is allowed or when people's values are based on 'Do what thou wilt' ideology.

Strategy

Such a great task cannot be accomplished by social awareness campaigns only because it is not enough just to 'point the finger' at the problem – we need a solution. In this case, the solution lies not in combating the old rigged system, but in creating a new branch of positive feminism based on well-rounded, all-encompassing knowledge, which transforms the consciousness of both men and women towards the constructive and positive direction, allowing them to understand, fist of all, of who they are; what are their natural differences and needs; and, finally, what is their life purpose, so they can to learn to co-exist together in peace and harmony, and create prosperity for themselves and upcoming generations.
